Dr. Jason Ellis is a third generation chiropractor who is passionate about his profession. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, lived most of his school years in Alberta, and enjoyed many memorable summers with family in the United States.
While in his junior year of high school, Jason contemplated what he would like to do as his life’s profession. He knew he wanted to work with his hands, and he began to explore artistic options such as graphic design. However, having grown up in a chiropractic environment, where lives are healthy & active, not overburdened with symptoms in general & prescription-free, he soon came to the conclusion that he would also like to help others enjoy these healthful benefits of which he himself is living proof. He chose to study at Life University in Marietta, Georgia because of its specialized focus in chiropractic. After graduating with his doctorate in 2004, he worked alongside an experienced chiropractor in Michigan before returning to Minnesota where he established Vitality Life Chiropractic in the summer of 2007.
Dr. Ellis is dedicated to his patients and their care is his top priority while he is at the office. He understands that each patient is a unique, and he tailors a treatment plan that is designed to meet their individual needs. He is also driven to helping people understand that good health requires healthy choices and shares a wealth of knowledge with them on how to make decisions that will greatly benefit their overall health.
His passion for people motivates a personal quest to help as many people as he can. There is a short parable that is close to his heart that he likes to share with the hope that it will be a blessing to you as you go about your daily lives as well as give you a better understanding of how deeply devoted he is to helping the people in the surrounding communities enjoy vibrant lives of vitality.
One night, a large storm rolled across an ocean shoreline. As the sun lightens up the sky the next morning, people begin to come down to roam around to see what the storm might have brought to shore. Although some driftwood and algae had been washed up, the most amazing sight to behold were the millions of starfish are scattered all over the beach – as far as the eye can see!
As the morning continues, more and more people come out to explore and see this amazing sight the storm had left in its wake. Among them is an old man who notices a boy picking up the starfish one-by-one and tossing them back into the ocean. After watching the boy do this time and again for several minutes, he shuffles over to the boy.
“Little boy,” he says with his already-gruff voice further accentuated by exasperation, “Why are are you doing this? Can’t you see that there are millions of starfish on this beach? Your effort is absolutely useless! Why do you bother with something that doesn’t even matter?”
The little boy pauses momentarily to look up at the old man. His young face is a study of concentration as he ponders the questions. Then, as the lad bends down to pick up another starfish and resume his rescue mission, he replies, “Well, sir, it matters to the starfish that I save.”
Away from the office, Jason delights in spending time with his family. He married in 2003, and has two sons. Mason & Joseph enjoy an active life alongside their dad (with baseball being their most current sport of interest).
Some of Jason’s other hobbies include guitar, painting, & archery; he is also looking forward to getting involved with community-based activities near his Edina clinic.
